FISHING

The chain of 7 inter-connecting lakes of our fishing resort stretches for 18 mile, and boasts over 100 miles of shoreline, with numerous shoals and weedbeds. Fish our main lake system for lake trout, walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, and largemouth bass. For the more adventurous fisherman, our resort offers quiet back-lake retreats, where northern pike and largemouth bass never seem to stop biting. Our back lakes are set up with boats ready to go, and are only a short portage away from the main lake system. Ice fishing available!
We also offer fishing guides for people that are unfamiliar with the lakes. Our resort also offers guided fishing trips to familiarize you with the area and show you the hot spots. We strive to ensure that every angler is satisfied and our knowledgeable personnel will be happy to answer any questions, and help make your fishing trip unforgettable.

Guiding Services

For those vacationers that are new to fishing, or want an edge in learning our vast water system Lang Lake Resort offers professional fishing guide service to help you find the hot spots. Having grown up on Lang Lake, our guide has caught many fish in these waters and can help you improve your techniques to help you catch the big one.
Also available are boat rides, for those vacationers not interested in fishing and just want to go for a pleasure cruise on our lake system.

Get a guide $40/hour (3 hour minimum) – For those vacationers that simply want to be shown the lake system and do some fishing

Fishing Trips

Lang Lake Resort offers professional fishing guide service to help you find those Lang Lake hot spots. Having grown up on Lang Lake, our guide has caught many fish in these waters and can help you improve your techniques to help you catch the big one.

For a full day (up to 3 people), the cost is $320.00.

For a half day (up to 3 people), the cost is $220.00.

This includes drinks, rods, shore lunch, gas and tackle. Shore lunch can be added to the half day trip for an additional fee.
Our main lakes guide is aboard a 16.5′ fully equipped Legend boat, with a full windshield stand up cover, custom seats, fish finder, trolling motor, so you can enjoy a completely comfortable fishing experience. The guide consists of a detailed tour of the water system and narrows, all equipment and bait, and a never skunked record. Although it depends on the season, our guide primarily targets pike, walleye, bass and lake trout.

OUTDOOR FUN

Consider hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking or rent an ATV and enjoy the miles of trails surrounding the resort. Explore a quiet bay in our paddleboats or canoes. Take the family on a picnic in the woods and pick some wild raspberries or blueberries for a snack. After your hike, swim and snorkel in the sparkling-clean water of Lang Lake or enjoy a game of horseshoes. For the sport enthusiasts, we offer various water sports such as waterskiing, wakeboarding, or tubing. We also offer guided canoe trips for your family to enjoy. Bring your camera to capture this areas natural beauty with its abundance of wildlife, rock formations and waterways. When the day is over relax in our outdoor hot tub by starlight, or sit on your deck with your feet up and enjoy the solitude that only Northern Ontario wilderness can offer.

Our resort offers hundreds of miles of ATV trails right from the property. Rent an ATV or take a guided trip. For a guided trip it is the price of the rental + $40/hr for the guide. Our guides will show you the best trails in the area and take you on an unforgettable adventure.

After a day of adventure take some time to relax in our hot tub overlooking beautiful Lang Lake. Our hot tub area has wifi for our guests to enjoy.

Our customers are welcome to use the Sauna but a $30/session fee applies.

WINTER WONDERLAND

Step out of your door and access thousands of kilometers of groomed trails. Weather it’s carving your name in the snow on an untouched lake or cruising through the boreal forest looking for wildlife there is a trail for everyone.

If you are looking for more than snowmobiling on your resort vacation, we also offer cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice hut rentals and great ice fishing for lake trout, perch, walleye, northern pike and whitefish. After your day of winter adventure, warm up by the fireplace or relax in our large outdoor hot tub and sauna. For the downhill skiing enthusiasts, the is beautiful Boogie Mountain in Espanola.

Ice Hut: 2 person 4’ x 8’ Portable Shanty (with propane heater)

Bait and Description: Roe bags (gulp artificial or natural), shrimp or minnows can be used. This is a world class rainbow trout fishery. Many bows are in the 2-6lb range but some up to 30lbs have been caught.

Hardwood Lake $100/day

Getting There:
3 minute drive on Lang Lake Rd
5-10 minute walk down trail

Species: Pike/Perch fishing

Ice Hut: 4 person 6’ x 8’ (with wood heat)

Bait and Description: Jig heads and minnows/smelts can be used for Pike, and tiny minnows and small tube jigs for Perch. This is an awesome place to bring the kids because the action never stops. Most Pike are in the 2-4lb range.

Fox Lake $60/day

Getting There:
4 minute drive on Lang Lake Rd
3 minute drive south on Hwy 6
5-10 minute walk down trail (with portable hut)

Species: Pickerel/Pike fishing

Ice Hut: 2 person 4’ x 8’ Portable Shanty (with propane heater)

Bait and Description: Jig heads and minnows/smelts can be used for Pike, and Shiner minnows and tube jigs for Pickerel. Most Pickerel and Pike are in the 2-4lb range.

Lang Lake $100/day

Getting There:
10-15 minute walk or snowshoe (rental available)
2-4 minute drive on the lake (only after ice conditions are safe)

Species: Pike/Pickerel fishing

Ice Hut: 4 person 10’ x 6’ (with wood heat)

Bait and Description: Jig heads and minnows/smelts can be used for Pike, and Shiner minnows and tube jigs for Pickerel. Most Pickerel and Pike are in the 2-6lb range. Monster Pike can also be caught on Lang Lake.

HUNTING

We operate in one of the best Bear, Deer, Moose and Small Game Territories in Ontario. Lang Lake Resort offers excellent hunting territory on hundreds of square kilometers of untouched crown land.
Nestled on the border of Killarney Park, our area is an excellent escape for any hunter that wants peace and tranquility on their next hunting trip. Our guides will show you detailed maps of the area, how to access various tree stands, and where the hundreds of kilometers of ATV trails begin.

Bear Hunting

We operate in one of the best Bear, Deer and Moose Territories in Ontario.
Lang Lake Resort is offering a quality, semi-guided bear hunt package from August 16 to October 31, 2014.
We allow a limited number of both rifle and bow hunters each week (up to six) giving every hunter a good chance at a black bear. Baiting starts in July. If you have access to an ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) or four-wheeler, it would be advantageous to bring one along (don’t forget a gun case to transport your rifle and a helmet). Bow hunters can bring their own portable stands, but Lang Lake Resort provides both rifle and bow stands. Distances from your tree stand to the bait are 10 to 25 yards for archery, 30 to 50 yards for rifle.

ALL LICENSES CAN BE PURCHASED AT OUR STORE. Taxes included. In order to receive a Canadian hunting license, you have to show an actual or old hunting license (any game) from your state of residence or prove you passed the hunters safety.

You (and your group) will have your own cottage with 3 piece bathroom, fully equipped kitchen. As soon as possible on arrival, you receive a tour of some of the stands, always time permitting. If you wish you can hunt that same evening. You can reach some of the stands by car, some by four-wheeler only, and some by boat. Don’t forget that in Ontario you have to wear orange to and from the stand (vest and hat). You can hunt from half an hour before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset.
Successful hunters get help handling their bear. The cost to butcher your bear is Can$0.65/lbs. Please bring enough coolers for the meat and the fur/head.
